Who Do We Help?
The 2009 event was another tremendous success, and funds have been distributed to the local non-profit groups that applied for funding through our foundation. Over the years, we have provided funding for the Adult Literacy Program, American Red Cross, Bikers Against Child Abuse, Boy Scouts/Venturers, Cañon City Chamber of Commerce, Daughters of the American Revolution,
Family Crisis Services, Fremont Center for the Arts, Fremont County Crimestoppers, Friendly Visitors, Florence Skateboard Park Project, Iron Mountain / Deer Mountain Recovery Fund, Kinderhaus, Mountain View Core Knowledge School, Penrose Skateboard Park Project, Reading is Fundamental, RE-1 Special Services, Salvation Army, Seniors Inc.,Young Life, Spin Pre-School, Desert Waters Correctional Outreach, the Golden Age Center, Fremont County Hospice, Cañon City Volunteer Fire Department, Florence Volunteer Fire Department, Loaves & Fishes, Manna House, the Colorado Mounted Rangers, the Fremont County Department of Human Services, the Humane Society, the Tallahassee Volunteer Fire Department, Fremont County Search & Rescue, Fremont County Civil Air Patrol, NW Fremont EMS Ambulance and the Cañon City High School Senior FunFest program.
Applications for funding from proceeds raised during the 2010
Holy Cow Moosic Festival and the 2010 Holy Smoke BBQ Showdown must be turned in to the FCF board by Oct. 1, 2010. Applications will all be considered, and funding will be distributed depending on need and availability of funds.
